Who do I work with?

I work with people from all walks of life and offer both talking Psychotherapy and/or Art Psychotherapy. Some clients are drawn to talking therapy, some to art therapy and some clients combine both therapeutic approaches. I offer a hybrid and holistic way of working, tailored to your individual needs.

Art Psychotherapy is a helpful and supportive way to process trauma, emotion and emotional regulation in a safe and contained way that allows for integration. It can work really well for all ages and for Neurodiverse people, or for people who find it harder to verbalize difficult traumatic experiences. Not everything has to be named in order for it to be processed, as it can be processed through the body, the art image and the subconscious.

You don’t need to be an artist, we focus on the process, not making a product.

I have experience across a diverse range of mental health settings and with a diverse range of people. I have worked for the NHS in secondary care services as a Psychotherapist supporting people with Psychosis, Complex Trauma and Personality Disorders. I have experience as a therapist at Macmillan, working with people living with cancer and chronic illness. I have further experience in working with TNBI folks at Spectra.

I currently work as a therapist in my own private practice and at the NHS Sussex Gender Service as a Reflective Practice Facilitator. I am a fully qualified and insured Art Psychotherapist.

I can offer in person or online sessions. I work short term and long term with clients. I see clients on a weekly basis with some bi-monthly slots available. Where appropriate I offer some “walk and talk” therapy sessions.

My fees are sliding scale, please email for info.

First Steps

It takes a lot to reach out to a therapist and it can be a nerve wracking experience, I am here to help you along the way. Whatever you need support with, no matter how large or small, is valid. I have experience with a diverse range of mental health and I’ve heard all manner of things. Often what you might think you are suffering with alone is something that many others have felt. I work in a non-judgemental and compassionate manner.

Feel free to email me with any queries and/or to arrange an initial first session. This first session acts as a trial session, this is a taster session where we will discuss your needs and desires from therapy. After which, we will both have time to reflect on whether we are a good fit to work together. If we decide to work together we will then proceed to booking in.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are held weekly at the same agreed time and place near St Peter’s Church, London Road in Brighton. Sessions are client led and tailored to your needs. I have some bi-monthly slots available.
